Griffith Park...

Hey friends!  In all the many times I have been to California, I have never been to Griffith Park.  Who knew (okay people of California know) that this place was so cool and had so much to offer.  One could make a trip, or at least a few days, to just this place alone!
The L.A Zoo is located here.  There are lots of hiking trails that overlook Los Angeles.  There are train displays.  There was a place offering pony rides.  Bike trails as well as rental. Griffith Observatory is also located here.  This place alone is where one could spend hours and hours.  The view is beautiful.  It overlooks L.A.  It has an awesome view of the Hollywood sign.  The Observatory is free, unless you want to see a movie in the planetarium.
But if one is planning a visit to Southern California, Griffith Park should definitely be a place to visit.  Lots of space to run, walk, or hike.  Take a picnic and sit back and relax.  Enjoy your vacation and know that you can include things that are relatively inexpensive and fun and Griffith Park is a great place to go to and do just that!

It doesn't have to be expensive....

Hey you!  Who says to have fun a vacation has to cost a lot of money?  I am not an travel expert and don't claim to be one.  But through the travels I have taken with my family I have realized that children have just as much fun doing free things (or things that cost very little) as they do attending expensive places.  I am not saying that amusement parks aren't fun, because they are, but fun can be had by looking at what else places have to offer.
The purpose of this blog is to offer ideas and suggestions to try keep your vacation costs down.  They are ideas, places or things that I have done that have helped.  I know that this blog may not help everyone but it might give ideas to some.  What I am offering is just ideas or tips, nothing more.
I love to travel and know that it can be expensive and traveling with children makes raises the cost of travel. Why not try to incorporate things that may help lower the cost of a vacation?
If you have ideas that you would love to share, please feel free to leave a comment on your way of saving money when traveling...I would love to know!
